Future Faking

What it means
Future faking is when someone discusses long-term plans — moving in, vacations, meeting families — early and often, but without actual intent to act on any of it. It's a manipulation pattern that creates a sense of investment in the relationship before the relationship has earned that investment. Often paired with love bombing.
