Love Bombing

Overwhelming someone with affection, attention, and gifts very early in a relationship.

Definition

Love bombing is an early-relationship pattern of intense flattery, constant contact, fast declarations of feeling, and grand gestures — usually within the first few weeks. While it can be genuine in rare cases, it's most often associated with manipulative or unstable patterns where the bomber is trying to override your sense of normal pacing. The hallmark is that the intensity feels disproportionate to how well you actually know each other.
