Give your agent a camera.

The Magnt MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and other agents make and edit realistic images while they work. Add one URL and sign in.

Server URLhttps://magnt.app/mcp

Get an account.

Your agent spends the credits on your Magnt plan, the same ones you use in the app. See the plans.

Connect your agent.

Pick your app, add the server, sign in, then ask your agent for a picture.

Claude Code

Add the server, then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose Magnt to sign in.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http magnt https://magnt.app/mcp

Cursor

Click Add to Cursor, or add Magnt to ~/.cursor/mcp.json yourself. Then open Cursor's MCP settings and sign in.

Add to Cursor
~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "magnt": { "url": "https://magnt.app/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code

Run this, or add the same server to .vscode/mcp.json. VS Code opens a sign-in page the first time Copilot uses it.

Terminal
code --add-mcp '{"name":"magnt","type":"http","url":"https://magnt.app/mcp"}'

Codex

Add the server, then sign in from your terminal.

Terminal
codex mcp add magnt --url https://magnt.app/mcp
codex mcp login magnt

Claude and ChatGPT

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector with the server URL. In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode in Settings, then create an app with the same URL. Both ask you to sign in to Magnt.

Server URL
https://magnt.app/mcp

Prefer an API key?

Any client can skip sign-in and send a key from magnt.app/developers in the Authorization header. Handy for scripts and servers.

Claude Code with a key
claude mcp add --transport http magnt https://magnt.app/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_MAGNT_API_KEY"

What your agent can do.

generate_image
Makes a realistic image from a prompt, or edits up to 3 images. Choose an aspect ratio (1:1, 4:5, 3:2, 2:3, 16:9, 9:16) and 1K or 2K. Returns the image, an image_id and a download link. Pass an image_id back to keep refining a result. 1 credit.
get_credit_balance
Tells the agent how many credits are left and which plan the account is on. Free.

Tips for better results.

Ask for the subject, setting, light and framing in plain words. When editing a photo, say what should change and what must stay the same. Check the image before it goes anywhere public: agents write prompts fast but don't always notice a warped hand or stray text.

Writing code instead? The same images are one HTTP request away.

Questions

Do I need a separate plan for the MCP server?
No. Sign in with your Magnt account and it spends the same credits as the app. Each image is 1 credit.
Which agents can use it?
Any MCP client that supports remote servers, including Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex. Clients that can't sign in can send an API key instead.
Can my agent save the images as files?
Yes. Every result comes with a download link, so a coding agent can save it straight into your project.
Does Magnt keep the images my agent makes?
For 24 hours, so your agent can download them or edit them again. Then the links stop working and the files are deleted. Prompts and the photos you attach are not stored.
Is there a limit?
30 images an hour per account, however you connect. One call makes one image.

Your agent's next step is a picture.

Add one URL, sign in, and ask for an image.
